Alert to the needs of our time and with Mary Ward’s breadth of vision, we serve in a wide variety of ministries.
We understand our call to the consecrated life as part of the universal mission of the Church. As Jesus Christ sent his disciples out with the words: “Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15), so we see our mission as universal and not limited to a particular place or a particular work.
Our criteria is to go there where “the greater need is’. This is why you will find us all around the world, from the tribal areas of north-east India, the steppes of Russia, the rural areas of Kenya and the inner cities of Europe.
We are mainly focused in Education at all levels, but you will also find us running social service centers, working in agencies to stop trafficking in human persons, in shelters for the abused and homeless, in retreat and spiritual life centers, and in rural and urban parishes. You may find us as well working as development workers, as hospital and prison chaplains, as home visitors, or as spiritual caregivers; but also working in advocacy and lobbying at the local/national levels and the United Nations. In a nutshell, wherever contemporary needs arise.
